Volunteer Florida Announces FY2027 AmeriCorps Competitive Guidance

Submissions are due via eGrants by 5pm (EST) on October 28, 2026. Support documents are also due by this deadline via Blackbaud Grantmaking.

Each year, approximately 185,000 Americans meet critical community needs through service in AmeriCorps nationwide. With funding from AmeriCorps that is administered by Volunteer Florida, AmeriCorps Volunteers in Florida dedicate a term of intensive service and receive workforce development training, living stipends, education awards, and professional development.

AmeriCorps programs in Florida tackle essential community needs such as education, disaster services, economic opportunity, conservation and natural resources, healthy futures, and support for veterans and military families. Examples of AmeriCorps Volunteer activities include tutoring and mentoring youth, responding to local disasters, restoring natural habitats, and providing job training and placement services.
