County Commission Public Hearing Set for Sept. 22
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2026) — The Charlotte County Commission has scheduled a public hearing at 10 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, in Room 119 of the Charlotte County Administration Center, 18500 Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte to consider the following:
- The Board of County Commissioners of Charlotte County proposes to renew the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) for Englewood Fire Department to provide non-emergency Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support ambulance services throughout Charlotte County.
Copies of the application are available for public inspection in the office of the County Administrator, 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte, Florida. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed certificate.
